Ingredients/Components

  • cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • cold water - 2 Tbsp
  • pecan halves - 4 c
  • white sugar - 1/2 c
  • allspice - 1/4 tsp
  • ground cloves - 1/4 tsp
  • egg whites, at room temperature - 2 item

How to make glazed pecans:

Beat egg whites with water until foamy. Gradually add sugar and rest of ingredients except pecans. Beat until thick, but not stiff. Add nuts, stirring gently. Pour out onto cookie sheet, lined with foil, then greased. Bake at 250° for 1 hour, until lightly browned. Remove from foil immediately. Place on waxed paper. Separate nuts with fork. When cool, store in tightly sealed container.
