Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- brown sugar - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 3 item
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- shortening - 3/4 c
- molasses - 1 c
- ginger - 2 Tbsp
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
- sour milk - 1 c
How to make gingerbread:
Preheat oven to 350°. Cream shortening and sugar. Add molasses and eggs. Sift together dry ingredients. Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to molasses mixture. Turn into a well-greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Bake at 350° for about 35 minutes. Yields 12 to 15 servings.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, < 60 mins.
