German sweet chocolate pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1/2 c
- pkg - 1 oz
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- butter - 1/4 c
- cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
- coconut
- evaporated milk 13 oz
- unbaked 9-inch pie shell, highly fluted - 1 item
How to make german sweet chocolate pie:
Melt chocolate with butter over low heat, stirring until blended. Remove from heat. Gradually blend in milk. Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt thoroughly. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Gradually blend in chocolate mixture. Pour into pie shell. Combine coconut and nuts; sprinkle over filling. Bake at 375° for 45 to 50 minutes or until puffed and browned.
