Ingredients/Components
- flour - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- regular size can fruit cocktail - 1 item
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- sugar
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- small can evaporated milk - 1 item
- stick margarine - 1 item
- flaked coconut - 1/2 c
How to make fruit cocktail cake:
Frosting:3/4 c. sugar1 small can evaporated milk1 stick margarine1/2 c. flaked coconut In a large bowl, mix sugar and eggs until smooth. Add flour, soda, salt and fruit cocktail. Mix well. Pour into a 9 x 13-inch greased pan. Cover with brown sugar and nuts. Bake 40 to 45 minutes at 325° until done.In saucepan, mix all ingredients for frosting. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour over hot cake, then cool.
