Orange slice cake

Ingredients/Components

• nuts, chopped - 2 c
• orange slices, fine cut - 1 lb
• oleo, melted - 1 c
• pkg - 1 oz
• coconut - 1 c
• sugar
• buttermilk - 1/2 c
• soda - 1 tsp
• eggs - 4 item
• all-purpose flour - 2 c

How to make orange slice cake:

Mix in a large bowl the nuts, oranges slices, dates and coconut. Pour the hot oleo over. Mix in another bowl the sugar, buttermilk, soda, eggs and flour. Mix all ingredients together and bake in a tube or loaf pan at 325° for 1 hour or longer. Usually takes about 2 hours, but check after 1 hour cooking time.
