Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- coconut - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- can fruit cocktail, including juice - 1 oz
How to make fruit cocktail cake:
Icing:1 c. sugar1/2 c. milk1 stick margarine1 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. chopped nuts1/2 c. coconut Mix first 6 ingredients by hand. Pour into a 9 x 13-inch cake pan. Sprinkle top with 1/2 cup brown sugar. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes, or until light brown. Remove from oven and poke holes in the top.For Icing: Cook the first 3 ingredients for 2 minutes, then add remaining ingredients. Pour over cake when it is removed from oven.
