Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
- chopped pecans - 4 c
- butter or margarine - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- cloves - 1 tsp
- applesauce - 2 c
- white raisins - 1 lb
- candied fruit - 1 lb
- box dates - 1 item
- candies cherries - 1 c
How to make fruit cake:
Sift flour over fruit and nuts. Set aside. Put soda in applesauce. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Then add fruit, nuts and applesauce and mix well. Pour into greased tube pan that bottom has been lined with brown paper. Bake at 300° for 3 hours.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Fruit.
