Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 2 Tbsp
  • baking powder - 1/4 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • dark brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • all-purpose flour
  • chopped walnuts - 1 c
  • margarine, melted - 1 c
  • baking cocoa - 1/3 c
  • or 1 c - 1 oz

How to make double chocolate chip cookies:

Add additional chips or walnuts, if desired.

In a large mixing bowl, cream the margarine, sugar and vanilla. Beat in egg. Add cocoa and milk. Combine flour and baking powder. Fold into creamed mixture with walnuts and chocolate chips. With teaspoon, place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool. Yields 3 to 4 dozen.
