Frozen lemon squares
Ingredients/Components
- graham cracker crumbs
- sugar - 1/4 c
- margarine or butter, melted - 1/4 c
- egg yolks - 3 item
- can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk - 1 oz
- lemon juice from concentrate - 1/2 c
- yellow food coloring optional - 1 item
- whipped topping or whipped cream - 1 item
How to make frozen lemon squares:
Preheat oven to 350°. Combine crumbs, sugar and margarine; press firmly on bottom of 8 or 9-inch square pan. In small mixer bowl, beat egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice and food coloring, if desired. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 8 minutes. Cool. Top with whipped topping. Freeze 4 hours. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Freeze leftovers. Makes 6 to 9 servings.Recipe categories: Pie, Pies and tarts, Frozen desserts.
