Ingredients/Components
- cloves garlic, chopped - 4 item
- large onions, quartered - 2 item
- pinto beans, picked over removing rocks - 1 lb
- cans chicken stock to cover - 3 item
- to 4 fresh jalapeno chilies, seeded and cut in half - 3 item
How to make frijoles:
Soak ingredients over 12 hours in refrigerator. Bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer, stirring from time to time, for about 1 1/2 hours, until tender. To serve, top with grated Cheddar cheese.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Main dish, One Dish meal.
