Ingredients/Components

  • eggs, beaten - 3 item
  • salad oil - 2 Tbsp
  • chopped onion - 3/4 c
  • soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
  • chopped green pepper - 2 Tbsp
  • can sliced mushrooms, drained - 1 oz
  • can water chestnuts, drained and sliced - 1 oz
  • cooked rice - 2 c

How to make fried rice:

In large skillet, cook and stir onion and green pepper in oil until onion is tender. Stir in rice, water chestnuts, mushrooms and soy sauce. Cook over low heat 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in beaten eggs; cook and stir 2 to 3 minutes longer. Makes 4 or 5 servings (1/2 cup each).
