Ingredients/Components
- egg - 1 item
- egg whites - 3 item
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
- peanut oil - 1 Tbsp
- diced celery - 1/2 c
- frozen peas, thawed - 1 c
- finely chopped green onions - 1 c
- cold cooked brown rice
How to make fried rice:
In small bowl, beat together egg and egg whites; set aside. Place large nonstick saucepan or wok over medium-high heat 30 seconds. Add oil. Heat 30 seconds; add onions, celery and garlic. Cook, stirring constantly, until soft, about 5 minutes. Reduce heat to low; add eggs. Cook, stirring gently, until set, 1 minute. Stir in peas. Cook, tossing lightly, 2 minutes. Sprinkle with soy sauce and toss lightly. Serve immediately to prevent sogginess.Shrimp, cooked beef or pork can be added if desired when adding peas.
