Fried onion rings
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 3/4 c
- egg - 1 item
- large onions - 3 item
How to make fried onion rings:
Heat 1-inch of oil in a skillet. Mix flour and salt; add milk, oil and egg. Beat until smooth. Cut onions into 1/4-inch thick slices and separate into rings. Dip each ring into batter (drain excess batter over bowl) and drop a few at a time into hot oil heated to 375°. Cook until golden brown; drain on paper towels. These may be cooled, wrapped and frozen. Reheat in a 350° oven about 5 minutes. Makes lots!!!Recipe categories: Appetizers, Vegetables, Onions.
