Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 4 item
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- baking powder - 1 Tbsp
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 6 8
- cayenne pepper - 1/8 tsp
- Blue cheese, crumbled - 1 oz
How to make cheese fritters:
Heat milk just enough to dissolve Blue cheese. Mix dry ingredients, then stir in milk mixture to blend. Add 4 eggs and blend. Stir in Cheddar cheese. Chill well (preferably overnight). Drop by teaspoonfuls into hot oil and fry until golden. Serve with a sauce of sour cream mixed with a little honey and prepared mustard.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Snacks, Appetizers.
