How to make fried chicken:
Fill Dutch oven or deep fryer 1/3 full with shortening. Heat to 350°. Combine flour and seasoning in plastic bag. Dip chicken pieces in buttermilk, then into flour mixture. Fry in hot shortening 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 4 to 6 servings.Recipe categories: Chicken, Poultry, Whole chicken.
