Ingredients/Components

  • flour - 3 Tbsp
  • oil - 3 Tbsp
  • can chicken broth - 1 item
  • chicken bouillon cubes - 3 item
  • cans water - 3 item
  • bunch green onions, chopped - 1 item
  • black pepper to taste - 1 item
  • mushrooms, chopped

How to make fresh mushroom soup:

Saute onions in butter; add mushrooms to onions. Cook on low, covered, for 5 minutes. In large pot, make roux with flour and oil. Add broth, water and cubes. Add onions and mushrooms. Cook until thickened. Add pepper, but no salt.

Suggestion: Serve with garlic bread or crispy cheese crackers.
