  • butter - 1 Tbsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1/2 tsp
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 1 item
  • salt and pepper - 1 item
  • medium onions - 4 item
  • beef broth - 1 qt

How to make french onion soup:

Slice onions (or chop); brown in butter. Add broth and Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Simmer until onions are tender. Arrange toast pieces on top of soup (optional). Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
