- sugar - 1/2 c
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- baking powder
- melted butter - 1 item
- egg - 1 item
- soft shortening - 1/3 c
- cinnamon sugar - 1 item
How to make french breakfast puffs:
Mix shortening, sugar and egg thoroughly. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg together; stir into shortening mixture alternately with milk. Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Roll immediateRecipe categories: Breads, Lunch/snacks, Breakfast.
