French bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/3 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- oil - 1/4 c
- yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c - 1 pkg
- scalded sweet milk, cooled - 1 c
How to make french bread:
Stir in plain flour to knead. Let rise 1 1/2 hours. Knead down and divide dough in half. Make balls the size of an egg. Knead a few times. Melt 1/2 stick butter in pan. Dip balls in butter and stretch across pan. Lay close together. Let rise 10 minutes. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Low fat, Yeast breads.
