Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 5 c
- salt - 1/4 c
- ice water - 1 qt
- medium onions, sliced thin - 6 item
- to 15 medium cucumbers, sliced thin - 12 item
- Cover vegetables with brine
How to make freezer pickles:
Combine salt and ice water for brine. Cover vegetables with brine. Let set in refrigerator 48 hours. Drain well but do not rinse. Add syrup and put in containers and freeze.Syrup:1 1/2 pt. vinegar5 c. sugar Heat until sugar is dissolved. Cool and kRecipe categories: American, Condiments, etc., Vegetables.
