Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 Tbsp
- oil - 2/3 c
- vinegar - 2/3 c
- dill optional - 1 tsp
- large onion, sliced thin - 1 item
- cucumbers, sliced thin - 2 qt
- sugar or 4 tsp - 2/3 c
How to make freezer pickles:
Combine cucumbers, salt and onion; let stand 2 hours. Drain well. Pack in freezer containers, leaving 1-inch headspace. Mix oil, vinegar, sugar and dill. Pour into containers to cover. Seal and freezer or refrigerate. Makes 2 quarts.Recipe categories: American, Condiments, etc., Vegetables.
