  • baking soda
  • sifted cake flour - 3 c
  • peanut butter - 1/2 c
  • light cream - 1 c
  • sq - 3 oz
  • ice water
  • peanut butter smooth or crunchy - 1 c
  • Add eggs and beat until fluffy

How to make peanut butter fudge cake:

Cream butter, peanut butter, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs and beat until fluffy. Add melted chocolate. Blend well. Sift together flour, soda and salt. Add alternately with water to peanut butter-chocolate mixture. Pour into 3 (8-inch) greased layer pans or a 10-inch greased tube pan. Bake in moderate oven, 350°, until done, about 30 to 35 minutes for layer pans, 55 to 60 minutes for tube pan. Cool and frost with Peanut Butter Frosting.Peanut Butter Fudge Frosting:2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate2 c. sugar1/2 c. peanut butter1 c. light cream Combine ingredients in a heavy saucepan. Boil over high heat 3 minutes without stirring. Reduce heat and cook until it reaches soft-ball stage (238°). Cool; beat until creamy and of spreading consistency. Add more cream if too thick. Spread sides of cake first, leaving top until last.
