Ingredients/Components

  • cold water - 1/2 c
  • boiling water - 1 c
  • miniature marshmallows - 1 c
  • blueberries - 1 c
  • container Cool Whip - 8 oz
  • white cake mix - 1 pkg
  • strawberries - 1 pt
  • red jello small - 1 pkg

How to make flag cake:

Prepare cake according to directions in 9 x 13-inch pan. After baking, cool for 15 minutes.

Prepare jello with the boiling water and add the cold water.

Make holes in cake with a fork every 1/2-inch. Pour jello over cake and refrigerate 3 or 4 hours.

To take cake out of pan, dip bottom of pan in warm water for 10 seconds. Place tray on top of pan and invert. Frost cake with Cool Whip.

Arrange blueberries for stars and sliced strawberries and marshmallows for stripes. Refrigerate.
