Ingredients/Components
- cans evaporated milk - 2 oz
- white fish - 1 lb
- to 3 medium onions, chopped - 2 item
- small piece salt pork - 1 item
- to 5 potatoes, peeled and chopped - 4 item
How to make fish chowder:
Cook fish in a 3-quart saucepan in water, until fish flakes easily. Brown salt pork in skillet; remove from skillet. Saute onions in drippings until golden. Add onions and salt pork to saucepan. Add potatoes and water to cover. Cook until potatoes are tender. Add evaporated milk. Heat to serving temperature. Yield: 6 servings.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Chowders, Cod.
