Enchiladas
Ingredients/Components
- cloves garlic - 4 item
- bacon grease - 1 c
- chili powder - 4 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 4 Tbsp
- large can tomato juice - 1 item
- large can water - 1/2 item
- medium size bottle ketchup - 1 item
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- salt to taste - 1 item
- dash of Tabasco - 1 item
- hamburger - 2 lb
- large onion - 1 item
- corn tortilla shells - 12 item
- Velveeta cheese - 1 item
How to make enchiladas:
Mix garlic, bacon grease, chili powder and cornstarch together in a saucepan. Add tomato juice, water, ketchup, sugar, salt and Tabasco. Stir and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours.Steam or fry tortilla shells until soft. Cook hamburger; drain fat. Chop onions; grate Velveeta cheese.
Fill tortilla shells. Roll up and place in 9 x 13-inch pan. Pour sauce over and top with grated cheese. Heat 30 minutes at 350° or until bubbling.
