Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- water
- chopped onion - 1 c
- chili powder - 3/4 tsp
- hamburger - 2 3
- tomato juice - 2 qt
- salt to taste - 1 item
- red pepper optional - 1/8 tsp
- kidney beans, cooked - 1 qt
- cornstarch or enough to thicken as you prefer
How to make chili soup:
Fry onion and hamburger (brown). Heat tomato juice, sugar, chili powder, salt and water to boiling point. Reserve some water to dissolve cornstarch. Add hamburger and cornstarch thickening and keep stirring until thickened. Add beans. Cook for 5 minutes.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Ground beef, Beef.
