Ingredients/Components

  • eggs - 1 doz
  • sour cream - 1 c
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • parsley optional - 3 tsp
  • sharp Cheddar cheese - 1 c
  • Velveeta - 1 c
  • nutmeg optional - 1 tsp
  • bulk sausage, cooked or 1 ham steak, cubed - 12 slices

How to make egg casserole:

Beat and scramble eggs, parsley and nutmeg. Cook just until almost done. Layer in greased 9 x 13-inch pan, eggs, sour cream, meat and cheese. Cover and let stand overnight in refrigerator. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.

For a real taste treat, use a combination of all 3 meats.
