- sugar
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- apple cider vinegar
- celery seed - 1/2 tsp
- mustard seed - 1/2 tsp
- ground turmeric - 1/2 tsp
- thinly sliced onions - 3 c
- thinly sliced cucumbers - 6 c
How to make easy refrigerator pickles:
Alternate layers of cucumbers and onions in a large glass bowl. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, salt, mustard seed, celery seed and turmeric. Bring to a boil, stirring, until sugar is dissolved. Pour vinegar mixture over cucumber mixture and cool slightly. Cover tightly and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.
