Dutch apple pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 item
- egg - 1 item
- self-rising flour
- pinch salt - 1 item
- unsalted sweet butter use while cold and hard - 8 oz
- lemon peel from 1 lemon or 1 bag of vanilla sugar
- raisins, soak in a little bit of rum - 1/2 1
- medium apples Gala or Jonagold gives a good taste - 8 item
How to make dutch apple pie:
You will also need a 9 1/2-inch pie pan.Heat oven to 380° to 400°. Soak raisins in the rum. Put flour, sugar, salt, butter, lemon peel and egg together. Cut the butter in small pieces. Knead the dough until it is a solid ball. Use 2/3 of it for in the greased pie pan. Cover bottom and sides. Cut the apples and make little squares. Add cinnamon and a little bit of sugar; add the raisins (not the rum) and mix it. Fill the pie pan with the apple/raisin mix. Make strands of dough to cover the top. Put the pie in the oven for 1 1/4 hours, but check it after 1 hour if it is not becoming too brown.
