Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
- butter - 1/2 c
- buttermilk - 1/3 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- chopped walnuts - 1/3 c
- chopped, peeled apples - 1 c
How to make dutch apple bread:
Topping:1/3 c. flour2 Tbsp. sugar2 Tbsp. brown sugar1/2 tsp. cinnamon3 Tbsp. butter In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Stir into the creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Fold in apples and nuts. Pour into 9-inch bread pan.Topping: Combine first 4 ingredients; cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over batter. Bake at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes. Cool for 15 minutes before removing.
