Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- flour
- warm water
- mashed potatoes - 1/2 c
- dry yeast - 2 pkg
- butter soft - 1/2 c
How to make dinner rolls:
Pour warm water in large bowl; check temperature. Should be between 105° and 115°. Sprinkle yeast over the water, then add sugar and salt. Stir until dissolved. Let stand a few minutes. Add eggs, butter, potatoes and 3 cups flour. Beat with mixer until smooth, then add 2 cups flour. Mix with spoon until blended. Then add the rest of the flour; mix with your hands until blended. Brush top of dough with 1 tablespoon butter. Cover with wax paper and a towel. Let stand in the refrigerator 2 hours. Punch down dough with your hands. Shape dough as desired. Cover; let rise in warm place about 1 hour or until they double in size. Preheat oven to 400°. Brush tops with butter or brush tops with egg and sprinkle on seeds of your choice. Bake 12 minutes.
