Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 3 item
- salt
- flour - 7 c
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- warm water
- mashed potatoes - 1 c
- dry yeast - 1 pkg
How to make jail house rolls:
Mix dry yeast in water; blend and set aside. Mix potatoes, margarine, eggs, salt and sugar; blend into flour. Add yeast water; blend well. Place in greased bowl; cover with cold, damp cloth. Place in icebox until ready for use. Roll out like pie crust (not as thin); cut in desired size. Butter tops; let stand for several hours.
