Cream of tomato soup
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- milk - 3 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
- minced onion - 2 tsp
- canned tomatoes - 2 c
How to make cream of tomato soup:
Cook tomatoes, onion, salt, pepper, bay leaf and sugar in saucepan for 15 minutes over low heat. Strain tomato mixture.In another saucepan, melt butter. Stir in flour and gradually add milk, stirring constantly. Add tomato mixture gradually to milk mixture, stirring constantly. Serve immediately. Makes 5 cups.
