Cranberry loaf
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- melted butter - 2 Tbsp
- hot water - 2 Tbsp
- egg, well beaten - 1 item
- orange juice - 1/2 c
- nut meats - 1/2 c
- raw cranberries, cut in half - 1 c
How to make cranberry loaf:
Mix flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda and sugar. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Bake at 325° for 70 minutes, or until straw comes out clean. Butter top when done; wrap in waxed paper and put in refrigerator for at least 2 hours before using. Keeps several weeks.Recipe categories: Breads, Lunch/snacks, Quick breads.
