Cranberry orange bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- baking powder
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- melted butter - 2 Tbsp
- hot water - 2 Tbsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- orange juice - 1/2 c
- grated rind of 1 orange
- each: raw whole cranberries and chopped nuts - 1 c
How to make cranberry orange bread:
Combine flour, baking powder, soda, salt and sugar in a large bowl; set aside. Mix beaten egg with orange juice, rind, butter and hot water. Fold flour mixture into egg mixture until blended. Do not beat. Gently fold in cranberries and walnuts. Spoon into a greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 325° for 60 minutes. Cool on rack for 15 minutes before removing from pan.Blue Ribbon.
