Cranberry coffee cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- almond flavoring - 1 tsp
- can whole cranberry sauce may use a little more, if desired - 1/2 oz
How to make cranberry coffee cake:
Combine baking powder, soda, flour and salt. Mix together the butter and sugar; add eggs, one at a time. Add the dry ingredients alternately with sour cream to the creamed mixture. Add almond flavoring.Grease and flour a spring-form tube pan. Pour about 1/3 of batter in pan; spread with cranberry sauce and cover with remaining batter. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes in 350° oven. Cool thoroughly before removing from pan.
