Cranberry bread
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 2 c
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 2 Tbsp
- hot water - 2 Tbsp
- frozen orange juice - 1/2 c
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- cranberries, cut in half - 1 c
How to make cranberry bread:
Mix first five ingredients. Add next five and beat 2 minutes. Then stir in cranberries. Bake in loaf pan for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until done. Bake at 325°.While warm, brush with thin icing. Let cool real good and then wrap good. Will keep great in refrigerator up to 3 weeks.
