Crab casserole
Ingredients/Components
- can mushrooms - 1 item
- butter - 1/4 lb
- onion, chopped - 1 c
- strips celery, chopped - 2 item
- all-purpose flour - 1/3 c
- evaporated milk - 12 oz
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- cayenne pepper - 1/2 tsp
- crab meat - 1 lb
- grated Cheddar cheese - 1/2 lb
How to make crab casserole:
Saute onion and celery in butter. Add mushrooms. Saute about 5 minutes. Blend flour in well. Add milk slowly. Stir constantly. Add remaining ingredients but crab meat and cheese. Cook 5 minutes. Turn off heat. Add crab meat. Place in casserole dish and sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 375° for 10 to 15 minutes.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Crab.
