Zucchini boats
Ingredients/Components
- egg - 1 item
- garlic powder - 1/8 tsp
- Tabasco - 1/8 tsp
- shredded Cheddar cheese, divided - 1/2 c
- instant onion - 1 tsp
- Parmesan cheese, divided - 3 Tbsp
- zucchini about 6 or 7 inches long - 2 item
- bulk sausage or lean ground beef - 1/4 lb
- slice wheat bread, crumbled - 1 item
How to make zucchini boats:
Wash and trim zucchini. Cut in half lengthwise. Scoop out center of zucchini; save pulp. Cook meat until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain off all fat. In a bowl combine all ingredients, only 1/4 cup of cheese. Toss to mix. Fill each zucchini half with mixture. Bake in 350° oven for about 40 minutes. Sprinkle remaining cheese over top and bake 5 minutes more.Recipe categories: Main dish, Meat, Beef.
