- salt
- parsley - 1 tsp
- white pepper - 1/2 tsp
- cans tomatoes - 2 oz
- rice, cooked - 2 c
- green peppers, chopped - 2 item
- onions, finely chopped - 2 item
- currants
- powdered thyme - 1/2 tsp
- to 2 garlic cloves, chopped - 1 item
- fryer parts - 2 3
- slivered or whole almonds, toasted - 1/4 lb
How to make country captain:
Wash and cut up chicken ready for cooking. Put in salt, soda and water. Let soak in refrigerator overnight. Take out of water and coat with self-rising flour. Fry in Crisco oil in deep fryer until golden brown. Will be crisp and juicy.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Poultry.
