Seafood gumbo
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- oleo - 1 Tbsp
- fish - 8 oz
- oregano - 1/3 tsp
- parsley - 1 tsp
- onions, chopped - 1/2 c
- black pepper - 1/2 tsp
- cans tomatoes - 2 oz
- thyme - 1/3 tsp
- shrimp - 8 oz
- red pepper - 1/6 tsp
- crab meat - 8 oz
- scallops - 8 oz
- garlic - 1/3 tsp
- green peppers, chopped - 1/3 c
- to 3 bay leaves - 2 item
- oysters - 1/2 pt
- gumbo file - 1 tsp
- cut, frozen okra - 2 c
- Add spices and oleo; stir well
How to make seafood gumbo:
Combine tomatoes, onions, peppers and okra. Add spices and oleo; stir well. Add seafood; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until seafood and vegetables are done. May also be served over rice, if desired.*INXSALADS:Recipe categories: One Dish meal, Gumbo, Stew.
