Corn chowder
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- light cream or evaporated milk - 1 c
- white pepper - 1/4 tsp
- small onion - 1 item
- thyme - 3/4 tsp
- corn
- canola oil - 2 Tbsp
How to make corn chowder:
Heat oil. Saute onion until soft. Stir in flour. Add corn. Gradually stir in milk. Continue to stir until thick. Add sugar, salt, white pepper, thyme and cream or evaporated milk. Blend well. Serve hot.Recipe categories: Corn, Soups & stews, Chowders.
