Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- baking powder - 1 Tbsp
- sifted flour - 1 c
- cooking oil - 5 Tbsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- yellow corn meal - 1 c
How to make corn bread:
Sift the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together. Mix in corn meal. Blend until mixed. Put egg, milk and oil in bowl and beat until smooth. Pour in a greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan. Bake 20 minutes at 425°.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Southern u.s..
