  • oil - 1 Tbsp
  • soda - 1 Tbsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • self-rising flour - 1/2 c
  • corn meal - 1/2 c
  • soured milk - 1 item
  • Variation: wheat flour

How to make corn bread:

Variation: wheat flour1 Tbsp. soda soured milk Mix all ingredients and bake in a 350° to 400° oven. Be sure to add oil to pan before adding ingredients. Bake until golden brown.

To make soured milk, mix 2 tablespoons of vinegar to milk and let stand a few minutes.
