Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- cooking oil - 1 Tbsp
- corn meal - 1 c
How to make corn bread:
Beat egg and sugar together. Stir in milk. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and corn meal. Add to milk mixture. Stir to mix, then add oil and stir well. Pour in greased and floured pan and bake at 425° for 25 minutes or until golden brown.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Southern u.s..
