  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 1/2 c
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • salad oil - 1/2 c
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • yellow cornmeal
  • large onion, chopped - 1 item
  • cream-style corn - 1 c
  • to 5 jalapeno peppers, chopped - 3 item
  • to 3 slices Cheddar cheese or 1/2 to 3/4 grated cheese - 2 item

How to make mexican cornbread:

Cornmeal Mixture:1 c. yellow cornmeal1/2 c. flour1 tsp. salt1 c. cream-style corn1/2 c. salad oil1 c. milk2 eggs, beaten3 to 5 jalapeno peppers, chopped Brown beef and drain. Pour half of corn mixture into oblong casserole. Add layer of beef, onion, cheese and remaining cornmeal mixture. Bake in 350° oven for 45 minutes.
