Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • vegetable oil - 1/2 c
  • can tomato soup - 1 item
  • onion, sliced - 1 item
  • white vinegar - 3/4 c
  • worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
  • carrots, sliced round - 2 lb
  • bell pepper, sliced - 1 item

How to make copper pennies:

Cook carrots until barely tender. Mix sauce ingredients; pour over hot carrots, which have been drained. Add bell pepper and onion. Marinate overnight or longer in refrigerator. Drain before serving.
