  • sour cream - 1 pt
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • butter
  • pepper
  • chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
  • grated Cheddar cheese - 2 c
  • cornflakes, crushed - 3 c
  • hash browns, thawed - 2 lb
  • Season-All salt or garlic powder - 1 tsp

How to make company hash browns:

Topping:1/2 c. butter3 c. cornflakes, crushed Mix all ingredients (except topping) and place in 3-quart casserole. Layer top with topping. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.

If you make ahead and store in refrigerator, then bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours, covered with foil for first 40 minutes.
