Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- egg yolks - 8 item
- raisins
- margarine - 1/2 c
- warm water - 3/4 c
- yeast - 3 pkg
- soft margarine - 1 c
- whole eggs - 2 item
How to make coffee cake:
Topping:1 c. sugar1 c. flour1/2 c. margarine Bring milk to a boil; cool to lukewarm, add flour. Beat together; take yeast, dilute in warm water; add sugar, set aside. Beat together margarine with 2 cups sugar, add salt and vanilla and beat together egg yolks and whole eggs; add milk and yeast mixture. Add flour (2 cups at a time), mix well and raisins, knead. Let rise 3 hours; put in 4 pans. Put topping on top; let rise until close to the top. Bake 45 minutes at 325°.Recipe categories: Breads, Breakfast, Coffee cakes.
