Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1/2 c
- oil - 1 c
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- coconut flakes - 1 c
- nuts if desired - 1 c
- coconut flavoring - 2 tsp
- Blend the next 4 ingredients
How to make coconut bread:
Blend the first 4 ingredients together. Blend the next 4 ingredients. Alternate egg mixture with flour mixture and with the buttermilk. Add the coconut flakes and, if desired, the nuts. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Makes one loaf. Add topping, if desired.Topping:1 c. sugar1/2 c. water1 tsp. coconut flavoring Boil the sugar, water and flavoring.
